EPC - Energy Performance Certificate
An Energy Performance Certificate becomes the mandatory requirement of a HIPs pack in England and Wales from the 1st August 2007, and needs to be displayed when advertising a property. As a result of this new legislation there have been changes made to the Universal software to make it simple to comply. On the
EPCs tab of the property record in Universal, simply input the current and potential numbers that appear on the certificate and the software will automatically generate a certificate in electronic format (see Figure 1 below). These graphs can then be generated in a brochure or window card via a mail merge tag, and will be automatically uploaded to your website property search (see Figure 2 below). The graphs (or a link to them) will also be sent electronically to any property portals we send your data to. |

You can also attach a EPC document into Universal that has been supplied in a PDF format. This will automatically get uploaded to your property search the next time you Synchronise to the Internet. To do this, select the property, click on the Advertising tab and click on Attach PDF, and then browse and attach a PDF document and enter a relevant Link Name that will be displayed on your property search.
